Position Title: On-Site Computer Technician
Position Description:
The Onsite Computer Technician will report directly to the Director of Business Development. In the case where the D.B.D. is unavailable he will report to the Senior Computer Technician or Sales Manager. The O.C.T. will perform a variety of technical related tasks for R.B.T.G. customers (onsite and remotely) that support the sales goals and objectives of the organization. The O.C.T. will work 8hrs/day (8:30AM-5:00PM).
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting & Repair of customers' computer systems (on-site or remotely).
- Responding to management and customer requests in a timely fashion.
- Tracking of all contact hours, mileage to all repair locations and repair time (on-site and remotely). Customer is to initial all on-site work orders.
- Assist with the maintenance of the R.B.T.G.'s network/computer systems.
- Requisition of needed inventory and tracking of inventory used for customers repairs.
- Invoicing of customers to include: materials used and mileage at $0.50/mile.
- A preperation time of 30 minutes prior to the first and after the last scheduled onsite visit. All onsite visits will be scheduled beginning at 9:00AM and ending at 4:30PM.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualificication:
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- First-level end-user support, including direct or help desk support
- LAN administration and maintenance
- Software/hardware configuration and installation
- Ability to quickly acquire technical product knowledge and incorporate into the troubleshooting process
- Self motivated
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage deadlines effectively
Minimum Experience/Education:
- Two years minimum experience in a retail service position
- Experience with Linux, Windows 9X/2K/XP
- A drivers license and a dependable vehicle
Outside Sales Representative
Description:
Red Barn Computers is currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative to market and sell our products and services to new and existing customers. This position will work towards growing our business, as well as maintaining effective communication and relationships with our current customers base.
You will be responsible for representing Red Barn in the field and for ensuring high levels of visibility and customer satisfaction. Our customer base ranges from businesses, academic departments, research facilities, government offices, to non-profits organizations. Flexibility and a willingness to travel are a plus. Must be able to work independently and possess strong communication skills.
We are seeking an individual with a strong understanding of computer technology, and is enthusiastic about new developments in the computer industry.
Requirements:
